Instructions to make Power pack dal:
- Soak daal for 15 minutes. Wash and chop palak nicely. Remove the water in which daal was soaked,pressure cook the soaked daal with 2 cups of water..
- Pressure cook till 2 whistles. Open the lid of cooker and add chopped palak in it, toss and add little salt, haldi. Close the lid and give one more whistle Keep aside to cool..
- In a kadhai, add one tbsp ghee put chopped onions and saute till slightly pink color. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli, and tomatoes. Cook like we usually do for masalas. Add salt (keep in mind - that some salt we had already put in daal),haldi, red chilli powder and rest of dry masalas, add little water to cook the tomato gravy..
- Now take daal, palak and mix it together in the kadhai. Cook till everything is well combined. At the time of serving, heat one tbsp of left over ghee, add crushed sabit dhania, red chilli whole, keep aside. Sprinkle green coriander and pour the garnishing tadka serve it with lacha paranthas and white butter. It is yummy and healthy too..
