To begin with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have kadhai paneer using 14 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Kadhai paneer:

  1. {Take 1 cup of Paneer,cubed.
  2. {Get 2 of Onion,cubed.
  3. {Get 2-3 of Tomatoes,cubed.
  4. {Get 1-2 of Tomato puree/tomato pulp (small size).
  5. {Take 1 of Capsicum,cubed.
  6. {Take 1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
  7. {Prepare To taste of Salt.
  8. {Get 1 1/2 tsp of Chilli Powder (if u like it less spicy reduce it).
  9. {Take 2 tsp of Coriander/Dhaniya Powder.
  10. {Get 1/2 tsp of Garam Masala.
  11. {Take 1 1/2 tsp of Kasuri methi leaves/dry fenugreek leaves (crushed).
  12. {Take 2 tsp of Butter/oil.
  13. {Prepare 1 tsp of Jeera.
  14. {Make ready 2-3 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.

Steps to make Kadhai paneer:

  1. First add 1/2 tsp of oil in a kadhai,then add the cubed paneer and saute for a min. Then transfer them to a bowl that has hot water. This will help the paneer to stay soft in gravy. Leave it in water..
  2. In a separate pan add oil/butter then saute with jeera,ginger garlic paste. Then to this add cubed onions,capsicum and saute them for few mins..
  3. Now add the pureed tomatoes(add a tomato in a blender and make it to paste and add in the gravy)let it cook for 5 mins. When the colour change to dark colour and raw smell is gone add the cubed tomatoes and mix it well..
  4. Now add turmeric powder,chilli powder,coriander powder,garam masala and salt. Let it cook for 3-5 mins.To this add paneer and toss it well. Then finally crush the dry methi leaves and mix everything well together..
  5. Serve it with hot chapathi and enjoy the food..
